FiberHome India office scheduled a week training program for Railtel Corporation of India Ltd. Trainees from all 4 regions attended program. There were about six trainees from Eastern Region itself and two trainees each from rest of the regions. The trainees were very enthusiastic about the program.

The Training was given by Training Wing of FiberHome India Maintenance Centre.

The program covered the following modules:

i)            Basics Principle of SDH technology

ii)          Equipment Description of CiTRANS 550B

iii)        Equipment Description of FonsWeaver 780B

iv)        Introduction of EMS Operation and Maintenance

v)          Cross- Connect Introduction & Operation

vi)        Operation and Maintenance on OTNM2000 and Equipment troubleshooting

vii)      Test

The main objective of the program was to give trainees as much practical training as possible so that three days were purposely allocated just for practical training and test.

The trainees were familiar with the equipment so had some queries about the equipment. Since the queries were related to their day-to-day problems they face with the equipment so the training program proved really fruitful to them.

After the training was over a test was given to the trainees. In the test everybody performed well. They were asked to connect OTNM 2000 with the Equipment and make different types of circuits between different nodes. The trainees did well in making the circuits.

After the test was over the trainees were asked for their feedbacks in which we got good response from them. They said that they enjoyed the training, and said that they were satisfied by the program. They said that they really liked Mr. Li Lifei and enjoyed being taught by him. They were satisfied by the arrangements made for the program.

In the end the trainees were given certificates to successfully complete the program.
