FiberHome Latin America South Branch Office organized a one week’s training course of the Transmission Equipments on March 5, 2010. Two engineers from Silica Networks Argentina attended this training course which was given by Engineering Management Department of Fiberhome.
Silica Networks is the leading independent operator of high capacity telecommunications transport connecting Argentina with Chile. It has a fiber network about 4000km in length that connects the main cities in Argentina to Santiago Chile, providing advanced services transport voice and data communications. Silica Networks is a branch corporation of DATCO group which has an invaluable know-how about the core business of various vertical markets by industry, focusing on Telecommunications, Banking, Insurance and Finance, Industry, Utilities & Energy, Federal Government, Provincial and Municipal, Logistics, Transport & Posts , Retail, Agro, Food & Beverage and Health & Laboratories. So far, FiberHome has established a good cooperation relationship with DATCO especially in the domain of optical cable and will cooperate better in transmission, access and financing.

The goal of this one-week course is to provide trainees with the basic principles and networking skills necessary to gain a detailed understanding of transmission network.
The combined lectures of W1600 Series DWDM equipment and FonsWeaver & CiTRANS Series SDH equipment with a variety of maintenance experiences and operational skills were introduced.

Fiberhome awarded them certificates upon successfully completion of the training course.
In recent years, Latin America South Branch Office has achieved greater development in South America market such as Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil in Optical Fiber and Cable, FTTH, Transmission, Home gateway and so on. It is worth mentioning that they have got two financing projects in Argentina until now.
